A Culinary Passion Project: Blending Personal Joy with Professional Insights
As I juggle the busy world of being a single mom and a professional, I’ve found a delightful way to blend my personal joys with my work life. Since I was 19, raising kids alone, I often felt guilty for indulging in my hobbies and not focusing on growing my skills and advancing my career..
But shouldn’t we all have a bit of fun alongside our work?
Cooking and baking have been my escape; they’re my version of Winston Churchill’s woodworking. Amidst my demanding role as a Sales Executive, VP of Sales, CRO, and a mom, I’ve always found time to whip up homemade meals and pack lunches filled with a mother’s care.
This year, something special happened. I got a box of recipes, some scribbled by hand; others clipped from magazines and flour bags. These recipes, lovingly collected by my late grandmother Anna-Liisa (whom I’m proudly named after), are more than just instructions for cooking. They’re pieces of our family history, tradition fragments, and culinary art slices. My uncle surprised me by gathering them all in a box, making it the most heartwarming Christmas gift I’ve ever received.
Now, as I cook, experiment, and share these recipes on my blog and Pinterest, I’m not just revisiting fond memories. I’m also diving deeper into the food industry, which is precisely where my company, Sensire, and I, as the CRO, are focusing this year.
This project is a delightful mix of personal passion and professional exploration. It’s about bringing the warmth of home cooking into the spotlight and offering a fresh outlook on the food and beverage industry we’re so passionate about at Sensire. It’s a chance to merge my personal interests with our corporate goals, weaving together a rich tapestry of experiences and insights.
By delving into these recipes, I’m uncovering the roots of culinary tradition — a crucial aspect of the sectors we aim to serve. This adventure proves how personal pursuits can beautifully complement and deepen our professional understanding.
It’s a new chapter of content creation for me, one that wonderfully ties together my personal passions with my professional growth. 🌿👩🍳
